Anyone who knows me knows how much I love music.  Music really inspires a lot of things and makes my world go ’round.  It influences a lot of my fashion choices.   I’ve loved this artist named Sevyn Streeter voice since I heard her sing on Chris Brown’s songs like Don’t Judge Me, She Ain’t You, and her own songs It Won’t Stop and I Like It. Her EP called Call Me Crazy, But….. is definitely a banger!  Between her song lyrics, voice, fashion style and good production behind her, she’s sure to do big things.  Everyone check her out!

Style Check: How To Rock Color in Fall!

Fall/Winter is in full swing and as the cold comes in, so do dark and muted colors such as greens, grays, black, and browns.

image

Behzad “The man” breaks the Fall rules by incorporating pop colors into his outfit.  This is how you can colorblock an outfit by using your accessories to either use pop colors to excite your outfit or by using muted colors to subdue a bright colored outfit.  The colors don’t have to match, matching is overrated!  Do make sure they compliment each other in someway.  Way to have fun with your wardrobe, B!

Behzad wears shirt and pants by Calvin Klein, tie from Tommy Hilfiger, and shoes by Cole Haan.

Monday Style Check 11/4/13

Today I woke up feeling really good.  It was my birthday weekend (Scorpio season is in full effect), and being another year older makes me want to put forth more effort in improving myself,  including my wardrobe!

It’s a big rarity that I wear leather dress shoes to work, but as soon as I saw these construction boot inspired gum sole lace up oxfords by Bar III, I knew they would be a good shoe to help me transition into a time when I will have to  wear a dress shoes to work lol.

Sunday Street Steez

I trekked to San Francisco on my day (one of my favorite things to do) and hit the streets to find people with a strong personal steez that got me interested in what theyre wearing!

First I ran into Kayla (born and raised in San Francisco) who describes her style as “trashy, classy” and mixes low brow with designer, high and low.

Kayla is wearing an vintage surplus military jacket, American Apparel leggings, Jeffrey Campbell shoes, Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Kate Spade and Forever 21 accessories, and great sunglasses from Venice Beach. Low key and classy steez.

Dylan,  originally from Southern California but living in SF.  I liked the varsity, low key,  athletic look of Dylan style.

Dylan wears a jacket and beanie from BOY London, denim from Levis, shoes by Asos in San Francisco.

Derrick from San Francisco likes an old school 80s look, mixed with new styles to keep that vintage feel.  He wears a Hawaii Farmers Market fitted cap, varsity vintage 49ers jacket, shirt by Information, skate pants, Jordan III’s and a watch by GShock. Derrick supports Bay Area designers and support the Bay.  I can dig that!

image

Ray from San Mateo, describes his style as streetwear, influenced by Hawaiian streetwear like Information, Farmers Market and Bay Area labels like Adapt and always represents 49ers on game days.  I am digging the island and Bay Area representation!

Join me again when I hit the streets for more style inspiration.
